Blackbirds in a pie…

Blackbirds in a Pie

Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!

That’s both amazing and frightening at the same time. Is that where they filmed “Birds”? 🙂

    • Heavens no—oh how that movie gave me the creeps—these blackbirds always flock en masse each year, late fall throughout the winter—they make the loudest racket. Hope all is well in your world Geralyn….

I didn’t think so but I’ve never seen a huge flock of birds like that – such amazing photos you’ve taken.

Ahh yes, all is well in my world. All will be well, all will be well. Thank you, Julie. 😉
