Beautiful photo and inspirational words – yes, I do appreciate God in the ordinary but then I don’t find the ordinary so ordinary. Does that make any sense? I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration!

    • It makes perfect sense—I too find the ordinary not so ordinary, but sometimes I allow life to get the best of me—where I have to pull back reminding myself of what is truly significant and of what is not—especially during the chaos of this “shopping” season of madness. Ode to our having a small retail business….Thanksgiving was nice, a comedy of errors with many blessings all rolled in to one 🙂 Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work…

  3. Looks like a sunset? I can see the sun peeking thru the trees, nice picture Julie!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Our family was together all day today, it is always nice to have everyone home again, including their spouse and our grandchildren. What a wonderful day!

Giving thanks is a good habit to cultivate for a happy and healthy life. We always have much to be thankful for.

    • It’s been a kitchen marathon to be sure for the past 3 days, but all worth it in the end—I used my “cheese” board for a lovely little spread of goat cheese with crackers—very nice 🙂
Now let’s cheer on those DAWGS this weekend!!!
      Enjoy your family Michael!!

      • i just rad about your Thanksgiving day in the kitchen, wow,.. what a day!!

I love goat cheese too, glad you like the board. I used the bourbon vanilla extract in a cake and cookies, they were delicious!!

  4. Great quote and photo! Hope you’ve had a splendid Thanksgiving, Cookie.
    Natalie 🙂

    • Thank you Natalie–it was a day to say the least… but good. I cooked it all, as it takes about 2 to 3 days—serving it in two shifts. I love the cooking end of things, the cleaning, not so much. I figure I won’t always have everyone around to do it all for, so I must make the most of it now, and I do enjoy it–as long as I’m rested and feeling 100 percent. Tomorrow, I start putting up the lights…whew 🙂
