A matter of a point of view

From my point of view, God is the light that illuminates the darkness, even if it does not dissolve it, and a spark of divine light is within each of us.

Isn’t it amazing how different colors, different settings or a different size can render one individual object, or in this case one white moth?
The moth is the same.
The colors, the setting, the size may all change, yet they do not change the moth–he’s still the same moth.

And so it is with life.
We may not be able to change the people we meet or our circumstance. . .we can only change how we view the people, the places and the circumstances or our lives.
It’s all a matter of our point of view.

One’s point of view can make the worst of things tolerable.
It can make a seemingly disastrous event into something of hope.
It can turn a negative into a positive.
It can render light for the darkness.

If you are unwilling to change your view, chances are, you will remain in a lonely darkness
The choice is your’s as it’s simply a matter of your point of view.

  1. Lynda says:

Julie, attitude is everything in life and it is the only thing over which we have control. Circumstances and people are most definitely beyond our control but how we choose to look at them and interact with them is up to us. One quote of Maya Angelou’s that I have treasured over the years is: “I can be changed by what happens to me. I refuse to be reduced by it.”

Blessings to you as we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord.

  2. Yet another great post! Love, Natalie 🙂
