I went down to the sea

Some went out on the sea in ships;
they were merchants on the mighty waters.
They saw the works of the Lord,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.

  1. Lynda says:

    Julie, the colour of the water is marvelous and look at the little waves. I love the water – once we lived in a small place where I had to cross over a bridge at the end of a lake every day when I returned home. I was teaching at the time and looking at the water would remove any burdens that I felt after a day at the boarding school. I loved the children but I was often a substitute parent and there were great concerns with some. I needed the beauty and peace of the water.

    • What a lovely description of the sanctity of a home and of a healing balm to a weary soul. I know what you mean about having been a substitute parent to those kids who seem to always be in need of a parent. It can suck the life out of you. And I too find that the water, be it ocean or stream, pond or creek, soothes my nerves, soul and body!!
      Hugs and love–Julie

  2. Love the pic and the quote! It’s a perfect combination, eye candy and spiritual candy! Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤
