“As people who have hearts that long for perfect love, we have to forgive one another for not being able to give or receive that perfect love in our everyday lives.

So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.

We spend a lifetime in search of it. . .
We expect it from parents
We demand it from siblings
We seek it from friends
We look for it in a spouse
We hope for it from various organizations
We yearn for it in our jobs
We assume it’ll be in our
We want it in our
Our pets seem to come the closest. . .
We rationalize that we certainly give this “perfect love”. . .
so therefore. . .
Why don’t others give it back to us?
The end result of this lifetime spent digging, demanding, expecting and searching, all for this elusive prize, is. . .
and emptiness. . .
and yet. . .
It waits, quietly and patiently—waiting to fill our hearts with an unquenchable, yet satiating, one and only true Perfect Love. . .
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Julie, so many people search in vain for perfect love and yet it is here in Christ Jesus for all of us if we would only respond. Thank you for this beautiful post – and the amazing photos. God does show us God’s love through creation.
Amazing. This is a hard topic to right about without getting into worn out repetitions of what’s already been said. But your approach is brilliant. Hugs, N 🙂 ❤
