Seperation

“Much have we loved you. But speechless was our love, and with veils has it been veiled,
Yet now it cries aloud unto you, and would stand revealed before you.
And ever has it been that love knows not it’s depth until the hour of separation”

― Kahlil Gibran

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Matthew 25:31-33

Waiting,
watching,
knowing…
The time of separation is at hand.
Choices have been offered…yet oddly all declined.

Scoffing,
ignoring,
berating…
The masses have arrogantly turned away.
Love has been left waiting and now sadly stands alone.

Offering,
choosing,
separating…
He moves them left or right.
Life or death is now imminent as the goats and sheep look on…

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, “FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us

Romans 8:35-39

    • Vincent you are always too kind to me as I apologize for not always being prompt in my offering of thanks—please know that I am humbled that you wish to share my simple reflections—a hug filled with many blessings—Julie

      • Likewise Julie, your reflections mean a lot to all of who read your blog. Try not to worry too much if time doesn’t permit to offer a thank you. It’s all good…You’re a blessing and many hugs my Sister in Christ!

Julie, that is our hope – that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. God calls us to share that love in any way that we can. You do that on this blog and in all the other ways that you serve others, especially your dad and Gloria. Blessings and prayers that you have a peaceful week.

  2. Another wonderful post, my friend. Indeed it is our hope that nothing can separate us from Christ’s love. For where would be be without it, hopelessly lost for sure! 🙂 ❤
