Proclaim

“Our concern is not to explain but to proclaim”

How much energy is lost in the never ending battle of explaining, defending, defining?
As most words of defense and explanations fall upon deaf ears and closed hearts.
Make a point today to proclaim, leaving the explaining to another day…

“Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,
“who is, and who was, and who is to come,
the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:7-8

    You’re a blessing Julie!

  2. Wally Fry says:

Indeed we are told to be witnesses for Jesus not lawyers.

  3. ColorStorm says:

Eh, not sure. Paul argued as a prosecuting attorney…………to cite ALL men as sinners, as well as a defense lawyer to ward off any who would then level a charge against the justified, so arguments serve a purpose. Romans is a trial gem.

Indeed we are to proclaim, but there is a place for ‘litigation,’ hmm, the question is, where and when is it fruitful? I suppose we each must answer. What is right for one, may be wrong for another. Let every man be persuaded in his own mind kinda thing.

Thank God for grace. But Jewels you make a strong case for ‘presenting the gospel,’ which is broad, for a person cannot cannot conceive redemption if he denies creation. Thank God for the apologists who know their place.

I think of Ravi, Lewis, all playing crucial roles in areas that others could not; gotta love that ‘body having many members’ idea.

  4. Not to explain, but to proclaim….I like that!

  5. Oh, I agree 100%. As we proclaim we are planting seeds and the Lord promises to brings the seed to fruition. And He’s so much better at explaining and convincing. Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤

  6. I’m so happy to read this today ~ and totally agree. Only by grace ~ ~ ~
