“If it looks like a duck,
quacks like a duck,
it’s a duck!”
Robin Cook
“Your words have the power of life and death.
Choose them wisely.”

A most edifying annoucnement came today from the State Department.
Genocide…
That’s what ISIS is indeed doing…
to Shia Muslims
to Yazidis
to Christians….
“We must recognize what Daesh [the Arabic name for ISIS] is doing to its victims,”
Kerry said, speaking from the State Department podium.
“We must hold the perpetrators accountable.”
The treaty commits signatory nations to take steps to “prevent and to punish”
the “odious scourge” of genocide.

Will the “recognition” change things?
Sadly, probably not…
But what it will change is the lens to which the world’s powerful leaders will use to view the vile acts committed by this terrorist organization….
and with the changing of the lens, we pray for the changing of hearts….
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.
Isaiah 9:7

Thank you for sharing Vincent—hope all is well your way in the world! I’ve been loving this early dose of warming Spring!
You’re very welcome Julie! Well surgery is eminent, Doc says by the end of the month, he also said most people don’t respond as well as I did with the abscesses I had. He parsed it as saying “I’m on my 3rd or 4th cat live”, nevertheless I’m upbeat and ready for this adjustment. Been loving the warm weather here as well, although we might get a little bit of snow tomorrow. 🙂
oh Vincent, I thought that when you were in the hospital last, it was the diverticulitis surgery–is that what this is now? My husband had about a foot removed, my friend’s husband had several feet—both are doing quite well—but both watch what they eat—what with the nuts, seeds, corn….and then there’s the spicy factor—but with time, your guts will let you know what’s good and what’s not so good—it’s certainly time for prayer my friend—of which we shall pour on—keeping the beads hot as my godmother use to say….
I was in shorts today—and by tomorrow night, it’ll be back to jackets and scarves as we’ll be back down to freezing—which I pray won’t hurt the new blooms!
Prayers are now on tap Vincent—we’ve got you covered 🙂
I did have surgery with the last hospital visit, the last of 3 cysts was removed, all related to diverticulitis. The extent of the damage will be completely assessed prior to the surgery. Best guess, a foot maybe 18 inches. Been following the diet faithfully, funny you mention how my gut will let me know what’s good, that’s already started 🙂 Thank you soo much for your prayers Julie, you and yours are prayed for as well!
Ditto with the short wearing today 😀
Isn’t it amazing that they finally admitted to calling it was it was! I mean really! Are they that stupid or do they honestly thing we are that stupid?!
I’m not sure in their case that if they quack like a duck, it’s really a duck
but one dressed to give the appearance of a duck to the masses. 🙂 ❤
