Unconditional invitation to love

To give and not expect return,
that is what lies at the heart of love.

Oscar Wilde

Love means to love that which is unlovable;
or it is no virtue at all.

Gilbert K. Chesterton

We are called to show utter commitment to the God
who is revealed in Jesus and to all those to whom
His invitation is addressed.

Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury

Like a flower, it opens regardless…whether you want it to or not…
It opens.
The heart of God opens…
It opens for you, toward you, for you… whether you want it to or not…
It opens.
You didn’t do anything, of your own accord, to warrant its opening…
On the contrary…
It opens with or without you..
You ignored it.
It opened.
You disregarded it.
It opened.
You never much cared for it.
It opened.

It beckons to you…
Asking you…
Inviting you…
Wishing only to woo you…

The invitation stands…
Wide open…

Oh yes! Just like His truth–it is true regardless of whether or not I accept or believe it. Yes!

  2. Oh my, here you are moving plants in and spreading around bales of straw and still manage to put together an absolutely fabulous post! How do you do that???? You must be Wonder Woman Cookiecrumbles! Whilst I, the rapidly disintegrating tumblewood, struggle to just keep up with you! This one will be reblogged in the AM missy. Love and hugs, N
PS. I hope you did kill yourself today doing all that manual labor. ❤

    • let’s talk about keeping up shall we miss post 24 / 7 diva!!! Thank you however for the kindness—and yes, I’ve about killed myself—I’ve put out most of the 150 bales–Saturday I was in shorts and a tank top, yesterday I was in sweat pants, sweat shirt, down vest, and earmuffs—a 30 degree difference in a day! plus wind gusts up to 25mph—I had to build barrier walls with bales while I worked in different spots to fight the wind blowing away my hard work—today my sinuses had to have a break from the pollen and pine straw dust –so I put out fires at dad’s all day…pollen may have been better

      • Oh for sure it might have been better! And ya know being a “diva” only requires sitting on one’s derrière not working off one’s derrière! I hope you have the day off tomorrow and can stay warm and comfy inside!!! 😘😘😘
