“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
― Corrie ten Boom
“Remember He is the artist and you are only the picture. You can’t see it. So quietly submit to be painted—i.e., keep fulfilling all the obvious duties of your station (you really know quite well enough what they are!), asking forgiveness for each failure and then leaving it alone. You are in the right way. Walk—don’t keep on looking at it.”
― C.S. Lewis

A hand extends…
“take it”
The voices implore.
Hesitation shadows the moment…
Assurances ring through the trepidation…
An internal battle ensues…
Yes or no
stay or go
Trust or not
Slowly or quickly, it matters not
you chose to extend your hand…
The two hardest words known to man, no matter the language…
Trust me…
Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid;
do not be discouraged,
for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

Those two words are indeed difficult for all of us. How do we trust when everything around us seems to be changing and indeed even falling apart? It is certainly not easy and it is like taking a step in the dark but it is the wisest choice we can ever make – to trust our loving God! I hope you are feeling much better Julie. Prayers continue.
the wrath of the walu is as a bout of food poisoning—swift, miserable and inconvenient but subsides as quickly as it came 🙂
back to normal—now with a sharper eye when ordering—dare I say it…. Gregory is right—stick to the tried and true—adventuresome is not alway best (let’s just not tell him that he could possibly be right 🙂 )
🙂
I loved this. So true.
thank you my friend—it’s one of most important footings or building blocks to our faith—yet never easy putting into place….
Reblogged this on Talmidimblogging.
There are so many verses in the Bible about fear not, choose to trust. So excellent! I love the quote by C.S. Lewis too.
Powerful and so true! 🙂 ❤
In agreement with this post. It is moving…
Thank you
