Each day holds a surprise.
But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us.
Let’s not be afraid to receive each day’s surprise,
whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy.
It will open a new place in our hearts,
a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.

To celebrate life is not always an easy option.
For life is not always easy…
Nor is it…
perfect,
happy,
joyful,
or smooth…
Yet we find in its ups and downs, in its ins and outs, in its rhythmic breathing…
our joy.
our peace.
our hope.
We choose to live and let live.
We choose to embrace and be embraced.
We choose to go forward and not back.
We choose Grace…
We are given one more day…
Yesterday is no more
Tomorrow is not guaranteed…
We rejoice or we lament
Yet we live…
and that is the gift..
Celebrate
You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11
Lovely post Julie. Just what I needed to begin this dreary Sunday morning. But with my tomato vines in sight here in my office window, and ripening cherry tomatoes peeking at me as I sit here, who cares if the sun shines on this side of the clouds. The day is warm out and I am cold inside, so it becomes the best of both worlds.
Happy Independence Day Julie. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Hugs, Angie
You too Angie– I’m thinking BLT sandwiches 😊 yum!
Yum! That does sound good. More suited for kabobs though, and the grill is ready and waiting.
Kabobs are good too!!!

Love this! It reminded me of a catch phrase a local D.J. used to say…”Every day needs to unwrapped like a precious gift.”
