“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded freedom of worship here.”
Patrick Henry
(1940’s Political Poster by Glen Osborn / Julie Cook / 2016)
For all the smug dissatisfaction,
For all the protests,
For all the anger,
For all the divisions,
For all the disenfranchisement,
For all the polarization,
For all the blasted political correctness
For all the current attacks…
There have been men and woman who have sacrificed everything…
their very lives…
for you and I to be able to open our eyes this morning in a free country
God Bless America?
YES, you better believe it…
May God, indeed, bless America…
If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Can I just chime in and say God bless America also? Of course I can, it’s a free country……….well kinda………sorta………. 😉
but the roots of God’s blessing upon this land cannot be denied even by the most hardened criminal of thought. Yes, it IS criminal to say God had/has no part in USA.
Love that quote by Mr. Henry, not because it sounds poetic, but because it was borne in reality.
Bet of fourth’s to ya jewels.,
Hope it was a happy 4th for your and yours CS
I believe there is still more of a remnant of believers in what you’re saying. We still have a voice. We simply must use it. God will bless America again! Happy 4th, Julie.
Amen Kathy!!

Thank you Andy—I hope you and your family had a delightful day!
God is on the move, even when, or maybe especially when things are at its bleakest. Happy Independence Day Julie and yes, God bless America!
He is on the move isn’t He Tricia—we must continue to be mindful of His ever-present Spirit—thank you for such a timely reminder this day or reminders of our nation’s “freedom” !!

You to Julie! May freedom continue to reign! God bless.
Happy 4th of July my friend frothed other side of the pond. I hope you’re all well.
I got the most wonder image sent to me today—a large oak tree colored as the stars and stripes of our flag with orange, green and white roots running below—oh so true—Irish roots run very very deep in this country!!!
Hope all is well on your side to the pond
