“Boldness in the course of a noble fight is worth the risk…If you stand on truth, you’ll only regret your timidity later, but you’ll never regret being bold.”
― Charles R. Swindoll
“You never know how much you really believe anything until
its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you.”
― C.S. Lewis
(Great blue heron, Santa Rosa, Beach, Fl / Julie Cook / 2016)
When it appears that the ground on which you stand is sinking…
When the waves of assault are relentless…
As the waters rise against your will…
When the winds shift and you find yourself standing alone…
Never back down,
never give in,
never give up…
Stand fast…
and stand firm in your faith…
For God will never desert you and will always be faithful…
Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.
Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand
against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. For this reason,
take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day,
and having done everything, to stand.
Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist,
by putting on the breastplate of righteousness…
Ephesians 6:10-14

Julie, I hope you are enjoying your time away. It is greatly needed. Where would we be without our Lord, not only during difficult times like what you are enduring now but all the time? I can’t even imagine life without God. Blessings and prayers continue.
So needed this today. Finally getting some answers. We are attending a new church – the one that my friend with pancreatic cancer and her husband attend. It will be closer to our new home and our daughter. Our daughter and her daughter were there to meet us at the new church today. They are sometimes church goers. My daughter was raised in Christian schools so this has been a concern for a long time. To have her there today was indeed God’s doing. All is going to work out for His glory.
I relate to this one, Kathy, about children. That goes on my prayer list also!
Beautiful and massively important. Thanks for the encouragement.
Amen and amen! 🙂 ❤
