Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.
George Washington
They are dead; but they live in each Patriot’s breast,
And their names are engraven on honor’s bright crest.

Today while we enjoy the marking of a season’s change,
May we remain ever mindful of the many lives that offered the ultimate sacrifice
in order that the rest of us have the freedom to enjoy the simpler things in life…
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13
Have a wonderful holiday. We made it home and escaped the Bates Motel quickly.
Home again, Home agin, jiggity, jig π
Glad you’re back safe and sound and escaped Norman
I don’t know. I have these.visions of him lurking in the shadows, but don’t worry. If he shows up I’ll whack him with my cane.
you don’t have a cane
I will soonπ
I knew you didn’t π
Perfectly said Julie.
Thank you Karen– happy Memorial Day
The photo of the buckeye butterfly is a beautiful illustration of God’s amazing creation! Thanks for sharing it and the reminder that we are able to enjoy God’s creation because others have sacrificed for us. Blessings on your Memorial Day.
one of the prettiest butterflies, I think, in our area—smaller than the monarchs or the swallowtails—but I love the coloring!
Happy Memorial Day Julie!
To you as well Wally!!!!
I loved Percy’s picture—he is such a pretty black cat!
I had a black cat growing up named Snoopy—I adored him–we had him from the time he was born when I was in second grade to my sophomore year in college—
I’ve never had another cat like him…which such a sweet and gentle soul until we got our Percy—
Must be something about that name!
My wife is the only person whose lap he will lay it for some reason. She gets in the recliner and he hops right up.
He knew he already had you from first glance- he also knew she was reluctant and now he thanks her π
Or just wanted to torment her LOL.
I’m sure they both enjoy it π
They do. She adores that cat lol. Talks to him constantly
Beautiful photo of the butterfly! π β€
