We woke to a light covering of snow today Julie, but forty miles away in Birmingham Beth had to walk to work as she couldn’t get her car out of the church car park where she parks overnight.
Abby’s school dismissed after the fact as did most metro Atlanta systems so another mess has ensued— she opted to come here to us rather then trying to make it back to Atlanta — normally an easy 15 min drive— it took her 2 hrs and Gregory had to go get her just a mile from the house as people were stuck or had run off the roads — the south and snow— a sad mix ❄️🌨☃️
Sounds just like most of the UK when snow hits! A lot of schools were shut in Birmingham. North Wales got hit too. Currently the forecast is for us to get two inches or more on Sunday. I’d rather it came as rain!
You’re getting a taste of global warming. I heard they had 5 inches in Alabama. What’s going on? You better go buy a warm coat and hunker down for the next month.
No snow here in Ottawa, Canada’s capital. Fascinated to see snow so far south of us, while we are snow free. But next week snow and much colder weather is in the forecast.
I just found a video my brother put on Facebook. It is so pretty when I see it in photos and videos, but in this area it is so rare to see real snow. We mostly get ice and that is NOT a pretty sight.
For some reason I commented yesterday but my comment disappeared! And it wasn’t even a nasty comment. We don’t have any snow yet up north but there are rumours that we’ll be getting a little bit later in the weekend – and this is the year that I was proactive and got my snow tires on early! The photo is beautiful but I imagine the snow won’t last in your climate.
I looked Lynda but you weren’t in spam…I don’t know where you are!!!
We’ve got about 11 inches to a foot of snow…it is beautiful but you know what this does to the South—-we’re in a tizzy 🙂
albeit a beautiful tizzy 🙂

They’re saying 4 more inches this evening— on-top of the 4to 5 we already have—- this coming after they had said it would just be a light dusting
Ouch. I had my snow for the year in Stockholm two weeks ago. I hate the stuff.
Once a year is enough
More than!
😎

I’ve got good winter gear as we live for our snow day ⛄️☃️❄️
LOL, snow day!? You must join me up here during the winter months. We think of it as hibernation.
Let it snow! God’s white blanket of beauty!!

Topsy turvy 🙃
Whew, that’s a lot of snow, Julie. What part of Georgia? I have family around Atlanta, so just wondering if they got the same.
we’re an hour west of Atlanta but my son is in Atlanta and they’ve got lots as well!

Oh I miss snow this time of year! Not shoveling it though…
we’ve got about a foot of snow—all from “oh it should just be a lite dusting and won’t stick to the roads….”HA!!!!
Shows how much “they” know, right?
Exactly ☃️❄️
