“It is more important that innocence be protected than it is
that guilt be punished, for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world
that they cannot all be punished.
But if innocence itself is brought to the bar and condemned, perhaps to die,
then the citizen will say, ‘whether I do good or whether I do evil is immaterial,
for innocence itself is no protection,’
and if such an idea as that were to take hold in the mind of the citizen that would be
the end of security whatsoever.”
(sleep, the time toddlers return to angelic innocence / Julie Cook / 2019)
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
How is James doing?
He will have his surgery on Nov 1st— we hope it will only need to be the circumcision and not any sort of urethra surgery— we noticed yesterday what looked like a rash or mosquito bite on his ankle so my son took him to urgent care and they’re saying cellulitis— how he got that, who knows— we’d kept Autumn with us in Carrollton since Sunday til yesterday as they had a big work week and she’s the real handful- wide open from sun up to sun down— I took her back yesterday and got back home last night and crashed!
We’re saying strong prayers for our son and a better job prospect—
I will take that as another prayer request. Thanks for the update. I hope you get some rest.
Thanks Mark— their little family needs all the prayers they can get!!! That things take a positive turn upward in so many areas!!!
There’s nothing like the beauty of a sleeping child. Hope your son is able to find something better. I’ll keep them all in my prayers too.
It would appear you are having a WHALE of a good & holy time with the Mayor. 🥰
