I can’t say how this will all play out…how it will all end.
I think, however, I can speak for all of us in saying that we beg that it end.
We laugh at those online videos, those memes shared…
because we know that misery loves company.
We try so desperately to make light while trying so hard to laugh in our
seemingly unified endless misery.
Yet throughout all of this we must remember…
there are those who have suffered.
Those who have…
Suffered the loss of income.
Suffered the loss of livelihood.
Suffered the loss of stability.
Suffered the loss of wellbeing.
Suffered the loss of health.
Suffered the loss of life.
Let us keep in our prayers and hearts those who have lost…
Now when Jesus saw the crowds,
he went up on a mountainside and sat down.
His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.
The Beatitudes

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.

Laughter is good medicine. Reality is a bitter pill. So if we are to survive, we learn to place our trust in our Savior, our brother, our Jesus. He’s lived through it. Thanks for the reminder.

I was just thinking that I am not seeing much humor on facebook anymore. People are suffering in all the ways you mentioned. Not much laughing. 😦
Good post Julie. Also a good reminder that we need to remember that people all over are going through very different things and suffering for different reasons.

It is certainly challenging to isolate at home and to put aside our normal ways of living; however, this is a time when that small sacrifice is made for the common good. As you mentioned, so many have lost so much; so many are very concerned and afraid for the future; yet we are able to rest in the hope that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. Prayers for all those who have lost in so many different ways and prayers that people will be willing to put aside their own concerns for the good of all. Blessings for you and your family!
