But if Western Civilization is evil, that means all the elements that
went into creating Western Civilization must also be destroyed.
That includes Christianity.
The reason for the attacks becomes clearer when considering that
Black Lives Matter and Antifa are Marxist organizations and
Marxism is an enemy of Christianity.
It has to be.
An atheistic system that sees economic Hegelianism as god will have to
consider all transcendent religions the enemy.
It’s why the Soviet Union was an atheistic state,
which replaced God with the Communist Party.
Nathan Stone
from an article appearing in The Federalist
You may remember my mentioning about having had a discussion with Tricia,
over on Freedom Through Empowerment, the other day—and that conversation
evolved into a post.
When Buzzards Come Calling…
https://cookiecrumbstoliveby.wordpress.com/2020/07/20/when-buzzards-come-calling/
We were lamenting the fate of The Church as she, and in turn, us her family
sits in the crosshairs of the Marxist Left and the oh so Woke Cancel culture.
We both hoped that we could and would stand up to the plate when the time comes to
stand firm in our faith when those wishing to destroy it and us come calling.
Because that’s the thing, they are going to come calling.
It is not a matter of if but rather when.
Yesterday Oneta over on Sweet Aroma made a keen observational comment
“We are going to learn a lot in a few months about vultures and an
impotent church. But…there is the other side.
The Holy Spirit remnant! I believe many believers will be empowered
in ways we know not…yet.”
And so Tricia shared an article with me that she had read on The Federalist.
An article by a young man named Nathan Stone.
Nathan is wise beyond his years…
for he notes…
“Because Christianity teaches that all men are created by God,
it ushered in a radical idea of equality not seen in the world before.
And because every person is made in the image of God,
all people are endowed with inalienable, natural rights,
a strain of thinking first proposed by the later Scholastic philosophers.
The reason for the attacks becomes clearer when considering that
Black Lives Matter and Antifa are Marxist organizations and Marxism
is an enemy of Christianity. It has to be.
An atheistic system that sees economic Hegelianism as god
will have to consider all transcendent religions the enemy.
It’s why the Soviet Union was an atheistic state,
which replaced God with the Communist Party.”
And so we as Christians, in this tumultuous 21st century of ours,
have a choice as well as a responsibility.
We can either stuff our fingers in our ears, pretending that what is happening
all around us is a mere apparition or we can stand our ground…our Holy ground!
We know this is true because we have been told. But…Are we ready?
I honestly believe that many will be caught off guard
Good stuff Julie, I like how you broke things down. One many of the many things that bother me about this whole weird time we are in, is how many church leaders don’t speak out on how BLM extinguishes the concept of God’s creation of each of us individuals and the divinity that lies behind our uniqueness; one of the foundational building blocks of Christianity! Instead many (not all mind you) either jump right on the woke band wagon or stay silent. My pastor has been pretty good about not being suckered in by this thankfully.
I’m on it again tomorrow — the attacks on churches around the globe is the new bee in my bonnet!!!!
I hear and see and will fight against, what “they” are going to have to do to achieve their objectives. I do have maybe a foolish (or not) faith in the American Spirit” that knows what freedom(s) were placed into our constitution-Is it ironic that because of these freedoms the enemy is able to thrive and perpetuate these injustices and spew lies and thwart free debate – They always overshoot and overestimate where they really stand.
I said the same thing Jeff with all the flag and anthem crap— they are free to act like ungrateful fools and have no clue that that’s the case— free to act a fool!
Thanks, Julie, for more good stuff. I find I have forgotten Hegel. I need a refresher. Oh maybe, tomorrow…. 😀
At least you knew— I had to look him up
I remember studying him. That’s sadly not the reason to study!
