on the move

I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand,
as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven,
we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it–
but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Since the notion of moving has been my current train of thought, I certainly appreciated
seeing these little guys doing much the same…
They always make me smile.
Smiles are good!

“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:18-19

  3. I love both that verse from Isaiah and the quote by Holmes. The Bible verse offers us hope. The quote by Holmes is an admonition. ❤

  4. Thank you, Julie. We needed this. Blessings.

  5. Love the Isaiah 43 quote. Excellent!

    Blessings.
