“Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you.
All things pass.
God does not change.
Patience achieves everything.
Whoever has God lacks nothing; God alone suffices.”
St. Teresa of Avila
(Eastern tiger swallowtail / Julie Cook / 2021)
“If you wish to explore the Holy Scripture,
and you overcome your laziness and apply yourself, thirsting for the knowledge,
then every good thing will be yours. You will fill your mind with the divine light.
Then, when you apply that light to the doctrines of the Church,
you will very easily recognize everything that is true and unadulterated,
and lay it up in the hidden treasures of your soul.”
St. Cyril of Alexandria, p. 167

Thank you— the butterfly was the star 🥰

[…] God alone suffices […]
Really enjoyed this Julie, thank you. And oh those butterfly pics, just lovely! 🦋
What beautiful photographs!
Winged messengers of Hope!!!!
So cool to see butterflies again. I noticed one yesterday. I think he must’ve gotten lost and didn’t realize he was heading backwards in his metamorphous.
A few years ago, we raised a few of these from caterpillars through chrysalides (had to look up that plural) to butterflies. The caterpillars liked our parsley and dill. J.
I have enjoyed these past several posts, (along with the stunning photos,) as they mirror my Spirit recently. *Cyril is the name of my guardian angel so my soul always soars whenever his name is attached to something which stirs in my heart, such as the attached quote in this post.
I’ve missed you!!
Aw, thank you Julie! I have really missed my blogging time & all the friendships I have made as a result. *I think my comments may have been disabled temporarily. I received a stream of them today. So very sorry for the delayed reply, but please know how much it warmed my heart to receive them.
Well WP has unfollowed for me several blogs that I never even considered unfollowing— and the happy helpers basically lied about it all— so who’s to say how theses mysteries happen 😏🤣
Oh, my! I thought those things were only happening in FB & IG land??? Is nothing safe?
