The Mayor and the storm

“There is peace even in the storm”

The Mayor has stayed on for a few days following the Sheriff’s big birthday
celebration…so a trip to the park was in order.

Sadly, the weather has taken a turn for the nasty worst…
thunderstorms, flash floods and tornado warnings have been on tap for most of today.
and I fear much the same remains in the forecast for tomorrow as well.

Time to get creative with a three year old who is stuck inside during
bad weather!

Meanwhile, our back yard is now a raging river…
time to batten down the hatches!!

Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the Lord your God goes with you;
he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

We have the same weather here Julie. Wet and windy and much too cold – 46f – I can’t remember ever having the heating on in May!

Put on your boots and dance in the rain❤️

  3. Those pine needles have to end up somewhere. Someone is going to be pissed when the flooding stops and he is the last depot.

Great picture taking. I can see the water running, the rain raining, and the Mayor caught off guard from her professional duties. That perfect park speaks of a very nice community. Are the advantages of the move becoming more obvious? Hope so.

    • Still working on the understanding— Gregory is still very lost

He is not far removed from retiring which is a big change as well as moving locations. Would be a lot of adjusting to do. I feel for him – and you.

      • You are correct— the retirement was difficult and then we up and moved, so it’s all compounded— and thus he is lost.
When we married, I left home, family and friends.. I was lost but I had to adjust and figure it out— or I’d implode— now he’s having to do much the same and it is not pretty

Julie I was just in your neck of the woods during these few stormy days, (sadly for another short 4 day stay,) to meet our brand NEW grandson. (Yipee!!) The tornado alerts and activity was way to close for comfort – yikes! I thought of you and your family & am so glad you are all okay too. 🙏🏻

    • Well YAY on a new grand baby!! But you’ve got to stop popping in without letting me know!
Yep— spring in Georgia— Gotta love it 😬

      • Dawn Marie says:

Thank you, Julie!! But I know, right??? If I could get longer than “just a few days” down there a visit with YOU is TOP OF THE LIST!!! (And I don’t lie.)
