How does President Biden forget to commemorate the 77th anniversary of D Day???

There is no excuse.

He shouldn’t have forgotten…his administrative staff shouldn’t have forgotten…
and in turn, we know without a doubt, we have grave problems.

“You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have
striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The
hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on
other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war
machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of
Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well
equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of
1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats,
in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their
strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home
Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions
of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to
Victory!

I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in
battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great
and noble undertaking.”

    • I hope we never forget Michael— and whereas a blog may not “remember “, a president should!
      So many Americans sacrificed both home and abroad to help preserve democracy and freedom against the suffocating cloak of barbarism and tyranny — a notion a new generation seems to be want to actually embrace—

    • No, Tricia, no he is not.
      How could the democrats ever imagine that a man that is obviously suffering from dementia (much like my own dad) could be passed off as the leader of one of the greatest Nations on the planet?
      Do they think the rest of us are idiots?
      And what of the silly one who giggles like a school girl???
      I am absolutely gobsmaked that we are headed down such a dangerous slope toward disaster.
      What is wrong with the people of the United States…where is their sense of awareness and dignity????

        The democrats imagined it because they’ve seen how much else they are able to do and lo and behold they got their man in office. It’s terrifying really to think where this leads. Top to bottom we are being ruled by vacuous idiots!

        My grandmother never ate catfish because she said they were bottom feeders— eating debris and residue from others — we are being lead by the bottom dwellers

    Thanks, Julie, for this important reminder. I haven’t watched any TV news the last few days. I sorry to say I need that kind of reminder. However, Sammy did remember and pointed it out to me. Fierce shedding of blood. Thanks for the sacrifice, dear Soldiers. Marines, specifically, wasn’t it?

    • I’ve watched very little news as well Oneta…but I did catch a headline that Biden had obviously totally “missed out” on the opportunity to address the 77th anniversary of D Day and that many veterans…those few who remain…were greatly upset—as well they should be.
      No president has ever failed to commemorate the day that was the greatest gamble the free world took in order to maintain that very word…free…as in freedom.
      I am ashamed of our president.
