Is that a hornets’ nest in a plum tree? Hornets and bees and wasps scared me when I was a child, and they still make me uncomfortable. I am also not fond of the thorns on plum trees. J.
hornet nest, yes…but as far as the tree…it might be a wild plum…I never knew what it was when I snapped the picture
It looks like a wild plum to me. That one red berry hanging above the nest, and the thorns spaced between the branches, remind me of the wild plum trees my grandparents had on their property. J.
