Give something, however small, to the one in need.
For it is not small to one who has nothing.
Neither is it small to God, if we have given what we could.
St. Gregory Nazianzen

“A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds.
A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship,
and he who plants kindness gathers love.”
St. Basil the Great
Happy New Year, Julie, and may it be joyous and blessed for you.
Happy New Year to you as well Mark—may it be healthy and happy!!!
Happy, yes. Healthy? That would be the “something small” my wife and I would both like to have. Her shingles is getting a little better, slowly, and we both have something upper respiratory going on. But as in the past, it will pass. Stay healthy and safe.
I had Covid, again, about two weeks ago—If it’s not one thing, it’s two—
Urgent care was convinced I had mild flu despite having had the shot…well triple vaxed for Covid, that just happened to be the flavor of the day…
onward and upward I say!!!!
Here’s to feeling good!!
Thanks. We both HAD COVID in late summer after being triple vaxed. Then my wife got shingles after being vaxed. I don’t want the flu after being vaxed. My wife says she’s tired of being “special “.
Yep— plain Jane is wonderful!!!! 🥳
Happy new year
Sometimes all it takes is checking on someone
You’re right Sarah— something seemingly so simple can actually be so very much!! Happy New Year to you and yours!!!!
Happy New Year Julie! Love the quote. May this year be a year of giving of the heart. The world sure is in need of the fullness of love. Thank you for sharing!
A very Happy and blessed New Year Denise!!!
May the new year bring blessings untold❤️
Amen please!!!!!
HAPPY New Year, Julie!!!!!🍾🪩🍾
And a very Happy New year to you and your entire clan Dawn Marie!!!!!
Happy New Year Julie and many blessings to you! Hope this is a better year for you. 🙂
A very Happy New Year Tricia!!!!
St. Gregory Nazianzen did not have to walk across a Walmart parking lot and get bombarded by homeless folks who only “needed a little change”
😂— even as trying as Walmart and street corners and under passes, and parks and sidewalks have become— we must maintain kindness— even when it is met by unkindness
“Mean” is an emotion granted me by the Creator, and I use it when necessary. God had a mean streak as well, just ask the Egyptians,
I get it but I do try to rise above my knee jerk reactions from time to time 😉
Some times a really good “locust infestation” is the best answer, I just choose alternatives to Locusts.
Are you currently in New Orleans??
I was just before Christmas—- I’d gone to Natchitoches for the Christmas festival then stopped in NO for about a week— I’d not been since college— 40 plus years ago— seedy, historic and great food— just like I remember 🤣
New Orleans…so much irony and paradox and yet great food; awesome description!
