wear it well

“Words are clothes that thoughts wear”

(not lipstick but rather blackberry sorbet…
The Mayor does not wear it well / Julie Cook/ 2018)

The Mayor likes her sorbet…
but as her closest aides, we are a tad wary of telling her that she does not wear it well…

However, I am reminded that to wear our faith, in such way that there is no mistaking our
life’s goal and aim, remains paramount to our hurting world.

“I ask you to consider that our Lord Jesus Christ is your true head and that you
are a member of his body.
He belongs to you as the head belongs to the body.
All that is his is yours: breath, heart, body, soul and all his faculties.
All of these you must use as if they belonged to you,
so that in serving him you may give him praise, love and glory.”

St. John Eudes

the big house and ambience

Eating is one of the great beauties in life.
One of my favorite recreations…
eating with friends, the service, the ambiance.

So for chief aide’s birthday, the CA, or moppie as she is known to The Mayor, drove to
Atlanta with her assistant, aka poppie—driving to the dreaded day office (aka daycare)
in order to spring the Mayor from the ‘big house’ for the day.

Birthdays are such that those held hostage by daycare should be freed…
or so The Mayor had decreed.

So later The Mayor entertained her entire staff at a birthday celebration for the chief aide.

While celebrating the chief aide’s birthday, The Mayor, in the dim lighting,
accidentally or perhaps purposely, pulled the bearnaise sauce over on top of herself
and her chief aide…all over the laps, the coats, the pants, the napkins, and the floor…
but despite the tasty but greasy mess…coupled with a gracious cup of raspberry sorbet,
a good time was had by all.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,
do all to the glory of God
