We over-planted the garden during the winter months with winter rye and red clover. The time has arrived to plow it up making ready for the spring planting—I can just taste those juicy summer tomatoes and sweet corn!!

Hi, my name is Julie. I'm a 63 year old woman who has recently found herself divorced and starting life anew. I am both a mom and grandmother. I am also a retired educator. I was a high school art teacher for almost 31 years. I was lovingly given the nickname "cookie" by my students--hence the title of this blog.
